This week was fairly eventful! Though I missed out on a collection with the SeaLife Center, I did get the opportunity to see a mating event while at the harbor. There was a lot of activity from the otters in the harbor this week and we were fortunate enough to have brought cameras to catch a few pictures of them. While here, we also saw a strange looking scat. It didn't outright appear to be from a dog and was in the midst of many, many otter scat piles so it was assumed to be from an otter. We didn't have the scat collection bag with us we weren't able to collect it, but we did take note of it. Though not as exciting as our windy day in the harbor, I spent the majority of my week working on the program again and reading papers on AI use in identifying cetaceans.
