Flyers, Flyers, Flyers

This week we organized the filtered scat collection and began trying to sort through and identify the particles left behind. We spent time learning how to identify various shellfish species in order to have a better idea of what otters in the harbor are feeding on. There was a report of a dead otter pup that we accompanied another SeaLife Center volunteer on in the harbor. After we finished the collection and helped the volunteer back to their car, we began passing out the boat strike flyers that Zoe edited to anglers arriving and preparing for the Winter King Salmon Derby. We also noticed and reported what appeared to be the carcass of a dead eagle floating between slips.
