This week we spent a lot of time searching for fresh scat in the harbor. Which thankfully I was reminded by Zoe about collecting on Wednesday because I hadn't seen the message about it and nearly missed out. We also joined Shiloh and Christie again for an otter collection this time. This time, however, the carcass was not frozen to the ground and we, along with others, were able to measure, bag, and carry him up to the car so that he may be taken to the SeaLife Center's freezer for further investigation. It was a really great opportunity to see how the response and collection of an otter that size is performed. Additionally, I was able to get in contact with several peers in the programming scene as well as one of my previous instructors who is currently working with AI recognition so I have been making some headway on the software. It's very far from being anywhere useful but it's a start.
